Shropshire Canine is run by Cheryl Gibson. This page explains what we collect when you use this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. If you have any questions, email info@shropshirecanine.com.

What we collect

• When you send an enquiry: your name, phone number, email, your dog's details, your nearest town, the services you're interested in, anything you tell us in the notes, and how you heard about us.
• When you gift a day trip or back our work: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card details. We see your name, email, the amount, and the name you'd like credited, if you give one.
• Email updates: if you sign up for dog updates, or tick the box when you help, we'll send you the odd email about the dogs. If you give, we'll also email you about the dog or days out you helped with, and let you know if a monthly payment doesn't go through. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can change or cancel monthly help at any time through this link.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a meet and greet and look after your dog, to process payments and credit you if you've asked us to, and to keep supporters updated. We never sell your details or pass them to anyone for marketing.

Where it's kept

Enquiries are stored in our client records in Notion. Payments are processed and stored by Stripe. Email updates are sent through Customer.io, which keeps your email, name and what you've signed up for or given. Each of these keeps data securely and only for the services they provide to us.

How long we keep it

We keep client details for as long as we're looking after your dog, and for a reasonable time afterwards. Payment records are kept for 6 years because the law requires it for tax. You can ask us to delete your details at any time, other than records we have to keep by law.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or stop us using it for updates. Just email info@shropshirecanine.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising cookies. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use the site, like which pages get read and where people click or scroll, so we can make it easier to use. It doesn't set cookies on your device unless you've agreed to them, and anything you type into our forms is hidden from it. The site also remembers, on your own device, if you've closed the pop-up so we don't show it again.
