About us
No strangers. Ever.
I worked in rescue kennels for 4 years before starting Shropshire Canine in 2019, and I've been working with rescues for 12 years in all. From rescuing Romanian street dogs to finding homes for the breeds nobody else would touch. No dog too big, no paw too small. Every dog deserves a chance.
Everyone on the team has worked in rescue too, and I know every one of them personally. That's how it'll stay.

Good questions.
Do you take big or restricted breeds?
Yes. We're insured for exempted breeds and we've worked with XL Bullies, Malinois, Caucasian Shepherds and plenty more. Size has never put us off.
My dog is reactive. Is a day trip a bad idea?
Not necessarily. We meet them first and plan around them. Some dogs start on 1 to 1 walks and build up to day trips once they trust us.
Will it be the same person every time?
Same small team, every time. Everyone has worked in rescue, and Cheryl knows each of them personally.
What happens at the meet and greet?
We come to yours, meet your dog properly and go through everything on the form. They get to decide if they like us before anyone goes anywhere.
How does gifting a rescue day trip work?
There's no such thing as a selfless good deed, and nor should there be. Pick how many day trips you'd like to give and pay securely online. We take a dog from a local rescue out for the day, then share the photos and their story across our socials to get them as much exposure as possible. And you get the credit. We'll name you on the posts and on their rehoming campaign, and send you the updates so you can see how they get on. Rather stay anonymous? That's fine too, just leave the name box blank.
